Task :-  You will produce a dissertation outline of 1500 words (+/-10%) which demonstrates significant progress towards the final submission at the end of the block. This will consist of a detailed plan for the structure of a literature-based dissertation, involving the focused investigation of a research question to be formulated by you. The plan will outline:

 The background of the research topic/problem.
 A well formulated research question, and research aims.
 An outline of the subsections that the dissertation will be broken into with a short summary of the main ideas or arguments that will be discussed in each section. You should include key themes, theoretical perspectives and methodological considerations that have emerged from your research when formulating this.

Any other supporting information which shows progress on this research project should be presented as appendices.

This could include an annotated bibliography of key articles you have found or a Gantt chart showing time management. Any appendices will not be included in the word count.
