For the assignment, you are required to:
1. Choose a country that has crowdfunding.
3. You can report statistical summaries and indicators to support your answers.
4. The case study must answer the following questions:
i. Where does crowdfunding fit in the capital lifecycle of business development?

ii. Is crowdfunding really all that unique? What does it offer that traditional funding channels and institutions do not?

iii. What is likely to differentiate successes from failures in emerging market crowdfunding programs?

Report Structure and guidelines

Introduction
Provides background context on crowdfunding and outlines the purpose of analysing it through a case study.

Background

Briefly introduce the specific crowdfunding platform and the business environment within the country that will be the focus of the case study (for example, Kickstarter, GoFundMe, etc.).

Case Study Analysis
The main body of the case study must be structured around key questions - as highlighted above, and should be organised as follows:
i) Role of Crowdfunding in Business Development
Discusses where crowdfunding fits in the capital lifecycle of startups and small businesses. Provides examples from Kickstarter case.

ii) Comparison to Traditional Funding
Analyses what makes crowdfunding unique compared to traditional financing methods. Uses Kickstarter data as examples.

iii) Differentiating Success and Failure
Examines factors that lead to success or failure for crowdfunding campaigns, based on data from Kickstarter case.

Conclusions
Summarizes key learnings from the case study analysis of Kickstarter and crowdfunding overall.
