1. The paper is to be 2-3 pages long
used the Moive “Django Unchained” to cross reference.

2. Students are expected to compare/contrast the depiction of some aspect of American history (pre-colonization through Reconstruction) in a film (fictional narrative, no documentaries) with the historical accounts covered in class and in the text. So you will be comparing how a movie depicts a certain historical event, person, theme with what you have learned in class. In your discussion be sure to include specific examples of comparison—i.e. scenes from the film, character analysis, etc. and talk about how these examples demonstrate similarities and differences with the historical accounts you have learned about in class.

Use the class lectures, textbook , and additional readings as resources.

3. Papers should be properly formatted—12 pt font, Times New Roman, double or single-spaced, 1 inch margins. Papers should be cited as well, if direct quotations are used. It can be as simple as the name of the textbook and page number, title of one of the lectures, the title of film, etc.
