Overview

Feedback is an essential component when supporting others in delivering services. For this assignment, you will evaluate the feedback provided in five separate scenarios and discuss strategies for giving feedback effectively in your future career. Your instructor will provide five scenarios for this assignment.

Instructions

Complete the following tasks for each scenario using the Providing Feedback Template [DOCX]:

1. Feedback Evaluation:

   • Identify the ratio of corrective statements to affirming statements.
   • Describe one aspect of the feedback that went well.
   • Describe one aspect of the feedback that could be improved.
   • Provide one suggestion to improve the feedback.

2. Critical Elements of Feedback:

   • Using your textbook and/or other peer-reviewed behavior analysis literature, discuss the critical elements of feedback.
   • Describe how you plan to deliver feedback effectively to promote performance growth (approximately one page or three paragraphs).

3. Compassionate Feedback:

   • Refer to and consider the Capella Compassion Code [PDF] when reflecting on how to deliver feedback.

4. Self-Assessment:

   • Complete the self-assessment grading rubric included in the template.

Additional Requirements

• Written Communication: Ensure writing is free of errors that detract from the overall message.
• APA Formatting: Use APA style guidelines for references and citations. Consult Academic Writer or the Writing Center for resources specific to your degree level.
• Resources: Incorporate at least three scholarly or professional resources.
