In this randomized clinical trial calculated sample size was 46 (23 patients in each group). A total number of 50  patients were enrolled in the study, 25 in Group A and 25 in Group B. All patients completed the study.

4.1 BASELINE DEMOGRAPHIC, PHYSIOLOGICAL, ANTHROPOMETRIC, METABOLIC & SAFETY PROFILE CHARACTERISTICS OF STUDY PARTICIPANTS GROUP A VERSUS GROUP B

Age  in Years

The mean age of the study population in Group A was 29.9±6.30  , in Group B mean age was 32.4±6.42 years [Figure 4.1A [(a)].

Gender

In group A  (n= 9) 36%  were males and  (n=16 ) 64%  were females. In Group B % (N= 8)  32 % were males and  (n=17)  68% were females [Figure 4.1A [(b)]

Ethnicity

In this study in Group A 11 (44%) were urdu , 8 (32%)were Sindhi, 3 (12%) were Punjabi , 2 (8%)were Balochi and 1 (4%) was  Pathan. In this study in Group B there  were 11 (44%) urdu, 7 (28%)were Sindhi, 6 (24%)were Punjabi, 1 (4%) Balochi and 0 (0%) was Pathan [Figure 4.1A [(c)].

Education Level   

In group A the education level was 13 (52%) intermediate , undergraduate7 (28%), graduate3 (12%)  and postgraduate 2 (8%). In group B  ethnicity was  imtermediate 11 (44%),  undergraduate 6 (24%),  graduate 7 (28%)  and postgraduate graduate 1 (4%)(fig 4.1Ae) [Figure 4.1A [(d)].
