It is the core intention that students will develop research skills that they will employ in future
practice and a deeper understanding of the complexities associated with (science) teaching.
The RPP FYP is focused on students identifying an intervention they wish to apply during 4
th year school placement to determine what impact this intervention has on student learning and identify core professional learning. Interventions can be focused on particular pedagogical approaches, motivation and engagement strategies, developing student understanding of difficult concepts and so on.
