Melastoma malabathricum or known as the duduk tree is a type of plant that comes from the Melastomaceae family and is categorized as an herbal plant that plays an important role in traditional medicine. humans use leaves, fruits, and roots. The flowers and leaves of the duduk contain flavonoids and tannins that can act as antidiabetes because it is a chronic metabolism that can be measured by high blood sugar levels.
This study was conducted to determine the chemical properties and physical properties of this plant. The chemical composition is determined based on proximate analysis tests and physical characteristics such as color analysis, pH determination, total suspended solids (TSS), total phenolic acid content analysis, total flavonoid content analysis, antioxidant levels, lycopene content analysis and Analysis of the amount of ascorbic acid was determined.
