Purpose of this assignment
Personal and Professional Development learner become an effective and confident self-directed employee. This helps the learner become confident in managing own personal and professional skills to achieve personal and career goals.
Suppose you are working as assistant in your local State Agency. This agency is fast growing enterprise, engaged in promotion of blocks of the new built apartments in the local market development. Therefore there is a new opportunity via internal recruitment for a new role. To get the job you need to show you are capable for this job by showing your knowledge and your strength for the role. The portfolio you need to produce includes different activities and formats.

The company requires applicants interested in the job to produce a portfolio which shows how they plan to achieve all the requirements of the job responsibilities to ensure productivity and profitability for the company. As part of the portfolio, the Personal and professional development plan should cover short term objectives that can be achieved within six months after employment and long term objectives than can be achieved within a year or so. The portfolio should cover Task 1 Task 4). Given that the company is operating in a very competitive environment and aims to remain the leader in the market staff development is paramount to ensure the company remains the leader in the market.
collect information about a property and their special features;
market and promote properties for sale;
represent the sellers in negotiation with prospective buyers;
monitor sales as they proceed and liaise with all interested parties including mortgage brokers, solicitors, surveyors and other estate agents;
advise clients and make sure that the price agreed is acceptable to both buyer and seller;
Keep up to date with trends in the relevant property market.
Act as a property manager and resolve any issues that arise with properties.
What to expect
Work is office based but you will also spend a significant amount of time spent visiting properties, either for valuations and marketing opportunities or for viewings with potential buyers.
Because travel within a working day is so frequent, a full driving licence is extremely helpful and is likely to be a requirement of the job.
You will be expected to dress smartly.
A postgraduate qualification is not required for entering the career and professional exams can be taken once you are in the role. You may be able to enter the profession at an administrator level and then progress to the position of estate agent as you gain experience. While pre-entry experience is not essential, a sales, administrative or customer service background can be helpful as you will have developed some of the required skills. There are increasing amounts of legislation applicable to property transactions, which have to be understood by those in the profession, so experience of legal work may also be an advantage.
