EVIDENCE BASED PRACTICES – RESEARCH PAPER
Over the past 40 years, there has been a shift in the paradigm of how to effectively approach corrections with policies and practices based on scientific evidence to reduce recidivism. The implementation of Evidence Based Practices (EBP) has provided policy makers and organizations with new theories and tools for interacting and promoting meaningful change with court-involved individuals.
Please write a paper that is no longer than eight (8) pages (double-spaced) that answers the following questions:
What is Evidence Based Practices (EBP)?
How has (EBP) impacted corrections?
What are the benefits of using EBP to inform correctional practices?
What are the challenges of implementing and/or using EBP?
If you were a policy maker what policies would you recommend to improve the correctional system and why?
