Sarah

Sarah describes her frustration regarding the number of rejections she has received from after seemingly successful job interviews over the past 18 months. After a role play session, it is clear that Sarah does have the skills needed to be successful during an interview. Sarah wonders if the lack of a career in her chosen field could be a "sign" that she chose the wrong major. She begins to question if she should go back to graduate school to pursue another career path. When you ask her what program she would pursue, she responds that she has no idea. She never imagined doing anything other than marketing.

When asked what her proudest achievement was during college, Sarah describes her involvement in establishing an on-campus organization for LGBTQI+ students. Her leadership also extended to the national level of the organization. Sarah shares her concerns about putting this information on a resume or sharing it during an interview. She explains that she lives in a conservative community in a state where there is no prohibition for discrimination based on sexual orientation. She explains that she does not want to keep her sexual orientation hidden, but she is not sure where in the job seeking process to disclose that she is a lesbian.
