Assignment Activity 

You are required to demonstrate the use of critical thinking to support a conclusion that justifies your arguments. The report should cover the following:

1. A company overview entails its History, Mission, Vision, Core Values, HR policy,  Learning & Development Practices.

2. Outline and assess how the company performance management practice can support high performance culture and commitment

3. An evaluation of what HPW is and how HPW contributes to company culture with employee engagement and motivation, illustrated specific examples as evidence.

3. Critically evaluate the different approaches to HPW and their effectiveness for supporting high-performance culture and commitment.

4. Provide a valid conclusion and reflect on the investigation as of how HPW could lead to improvement in employee engagement, commitment and competitive advantages of the organisation.

5. Choose an area identified in the investigation and develop a “learning & development” (select a work team as a case) Rundown in using the HPW approach to enhance the team performance selected.  

Personal and Professional Development

Brief

As part of your lifelong learning journey and continuous professional development, you need to create a development portfolio which shows your ‘own’ learning progress and acquisition of key skills. The portfolio should include evidence for the planning and monitoring of sequential progress towards the achievement of personal and professional development objectives.

Learners are to produce a portfolio containing the following documents:

• An analysis of skills and attributes as specified in your job specifications publicised by the HR professionals, in the organisation.
• A personal SWOT analysis of one’s professional skills and attributes.
• A detailed professional development plan, based on the personal SWOT analysis.  Select one of your job roles and design the plan with achievable learning goals and respective training programme that would be required.
• Present an analysis of your continuing professional development (CPD) for the upcoming learning & development plan (e.g. January 2024 – December 2024).  Construct the yearly plan showing the professional development pathway, e.g. individual and organizational learning, training and professional development.
