This homework has 3 components.
I. Career Development Planning
Write a 1-2 page paper in which you address the following:
1. Provide an HR analysis of the employee development form you selected. Support your analysis with course resources. Note: Two such supporting resources on career planning are provided below.
2. Determine if the sample employee will need assistance, mentorship, training, new responsibilities, or educational attainment.
3. Provide insight on how the sample employee might assist in succession planning for their former position as they advance.
4. Cite at least one reference in addition to referencing The Professional Development Plan (see attached).
II. Recruiting from Company-Specific Social Media and Employment Websites
Select one organization that you would consider working for at some time. Review the organization`s website concerning possible employment with this organization.
Respond to the following:
1. How attractive is the website for a prospective employee? Why did you rate it this way? What changes would you recommend for this Web site?
2. How easy is it to locate positions available within the organization? Why did you rate it this way?
3. Is the ability to apply for a position user friendly? Why do you feel this way?
4. Cite at least one reference.
III. Developing and Retaining Employees
Finally, create a 5 to 6 pages framework for a comprehensive organizational employee career development plan in which you:
1. Provide the rationale for establishing a career development plan that cites credible sources and includes the benefits of a plan for both employees and the organization.
2. Describe HR`s role in career development and two or more modern challenges to traditional career planning, citing credible sources.
3. Provide an example of each of the four career profiles identified in the XanEdu resource Developing Employee Career Paths and Ladders, (see attached) and a course of action for how an HRM professional might use a career development plan to motivate employees from each profile.
4. Create a career development plan questionnaire with 7-8 questions that address individual employee career ambitions and that will enable the initial steps toward a comprehensive organizational-level plan.
5. Describe the major components of a comprehensive organizational-level plan, citing credible sources, that include the concept of career mapping.
6. Use sources to support your writing. Choose sources that are credible, relevant, and appropriate. Cite each source listed on your source page at least one time within your homework.
