Assignment Task

This task requires that we (the students) are to prepare food for a class party for 45 students, whom have different food preferences. When these students entered the party, they were to pay 20 dollars to help pay for the food. With this $900, we are to prepare various dishes to help cater the food preferences of these students. However, there are rules. You must not purchase prepackaged chips, lollies, and anything of the sort for this task. Also, when making a food, there must be one of each. This assignment will demonstrate mathematical concepts which are required for Grade 11 Students and will be beneficial to the task at hand. The mathematical concepts are as follows: This assignment requires you to make informed decisions, use estimation and rounding skills, and check calculations to consider if refinements are required. It also aims to assess your ability to communicate using mathematical, statistical, and everyday language and conventions, evaluate the reasonableness of solutions, and justify procedures and decisions by explaining mathematical reasoning.

Observations

• Each guest will pay $20 so the total budget for the party is $900 then it implies there would be 45 guests.
• It also mentions that you need to choose 7 dishes 2 sweet and 5 savoury these dishes must be from the chosen by other students.
• If each guest is contributing $20 and the total budget for the party is $900, then the number of guests can be calculated by dividing the total budget by the involvement per guest. In this case, $900 / $20 = 45 guests. This means I am planning for a party with 45 guests.
• 45 x 20 = 900
• The party plan includes a selection of 7 dishes 5 savouries 2 sweet. These dishes must be chosen from a list provided by other students. This implies that I will need to consider the Favorites of the guests basically the other students when selecting these dishes.
•  It would be a good idea to ensure a variety of dishes to cater to different tastes. I might also want to consider any dietary limitations or allergies. Remember, the goal is to choose dishes that will be enjoyed by the guests.
• With the total budget and the number of dishes known, I can also resolve an average budget for each dish. This would be $900 (total budget) divided by 7 basically the total dish, which is around $128.57 per dish.
