A study has been made to compare the average amount of sugar content for two brands of energy drinks. Ten energy drinks of brand P and eight energy drinks of brand Q were sampled and the amount of sugar content was recorded for this study. The following is the SPSS output for the analysis of sugar contents.
a) Determine whether the variances of the amount of sugar for the two brands are equal. Use = 0.05.
b) Assume the sugar content is normally distributed. If it is claimed that energy drink P has less amount of sugar than energy drink Q, conduct a hypothesis testing to test this claim. Use = 0.05.
